Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, presented the ‘Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision@2047’ to the state’s populace on July 17th, marking a significant moment in the state’s progress. The Chief Minister described the document as a comprehensive plan for establishing a self-sufficient, thriving, and advanced Chhattisgarh, drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047. The vision aims to position Chhattisgarh among India’s foremost developed states. Sai emphasized the importance of ambitious thinking, clear goals, and widespread public participation in achieving development milestones. The document, which was also presented to Prime Minister Modi at a NITI Aayog meeting, has been lauded for its strategic approach. The vision document builds upon the foundations laid by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The vision document incorporates the aspirations of the state’s three crore residents and was developed through collaboration with experts, government departments, public forums, and citizen feedback gathered via the ‘Mor Sapna Mor Viksit Chhattisgarh’ portal. Highlighting India’s global prominence under Modi’s leadership, the Chief Minister affirmed Chhattisgarh’s commitment to playing a key role in this transformation. Sai also discussed strategies for sustainable development, including zero-tolerance policies against terrorism and Naxalism. Key targets include boosting steel production to 45 million tons by 2030, significantly increasing coal and iron ore production, and leveraging the successful auction of a lithium mineral block. The state aims to improve multi-modal connectivity and is working on projects such as the Bodhghat project to expand irrigation and power generation.
