The Chhattisgarh Assembly’s monsoon session is scheduled to begin on July 14th. The upcoming five-day session promises intense debates as MLAs from both the opposition and the ruling party have submitted numerous questions to the government.
The Assembly Secretariat has received questions focusing on crucial topics, including the shortage of fertilizers for farmers, law and order issues, allegations of corruption within government schemes, negligence in official work, local problems, and the failure of certain projects. The opposition has made it clear that they intend to scrutinize the government’s actions throughout the session.
A BJP legislative party meeting was held on Sunday in preparation for the session. Following the meeting, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai confirmed that the ruling party is ready to respond to the opposition. He also addressed the issue of DAP fertilizer shortages, stating that it’s a problem affecting not only Chhattisgarh but also other regions, mainly due to the reduced imports and global circumstances. The agricultural department is promoting NPK fertilizer as a substitute.
