A candidate caught using electronic devices to cheat in the sub-engineer recruitment exam, FIR registered
Exam conducted under strict supervision of Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, legal action by police on cheating case is ongoing
Raipur, July 13, 2025 / A serious case of cheating has come to light in the examination center no. 1309 – Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sarkanda, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) under the Sub Engineer (Civil) and Sub Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) recruitment examination conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur. Taking immediate cognizance of the information about suspicious activities by examinee roll number 13091014 – Ku. Annu Surya, father – Kaleshwar Ram in room number 07, a search was conducted in the examination room. During the search, hidden cameras and electronic devices like micro speakers were found hidden in the underwear of the said examinee, which were immediately seized.
Walkie-talkies, tablets, Bluetooth devices and mobile phones were also recovered from Ku. Anuradha Bai, who was present outside the examination center premises to assist in cheating. This was clearly an attempt to cheat through an organized electronic medium.
As per the rules, the administration immediately prepared a cheating case and sent it to the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (Vyapam). Also, the Sarkanda police station was informed and an FIR has been registered and legal action has been initiated. Appropriate legal action is being taken against the concerned persons.
This entire matter has been taken very seriously by the Professional Examination Board and the district administration. A “zero tolerance policy” has been adopted on such incidents to ensure the fairness and transparency of the examination. Strict action will be taken on any kind of misconduct in the future as well.
