Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the ‘Rising Chhattisgarh’ conclave organized by News18 Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh in Raipur. Discussions at the event centered on the state’s development, governance, and welfare initiatives. Chief Minister Sai emphasized that his government is focused on accelerating inclusive development across Chhattisgarh.
He noted the historic support from the people of Chhattisgarh, enabling the government to initiate work immediately. The first cabinet approved 18 lakh Prime Minister Awas Yojana houses, facilitating home entries for numerous families. In a significant move for agriculture, the government started procuring paddy at ₹3100 per quintal, including two years of arrears for farmers.
The Mahtari Vandan Yojana is providing ₹1000 monthly to 70 lakh women in the state. The Chief Minister also spoke about the empowerment of tribal communities, highlighting initiatives like Charan Paduka distribution, bonuses for tendu leaf collectors, and the Teerth Darshan Yojana to offer religious trips to the underprivileged.
The government aims to provide banking facilities in the panchayats. Atal Digital Centers have been set up in 1460 gram panchayats and expansion is underway. The task of Ready to Eat construction has been given back to women’s self-help groups.
Chief Minister Sai also discussed the government’s commitment to the Naxal-free India campaign, aligned with the central government’s target of achieving this by March 31, 2026. Development work is being accelerated in villages under the Niyad Nellar scheme. The ‘double engine’ government’s dedication is key to this progress.
The ‘Rising Chhattisgarh’ conclave hosted numerous sessions that explored Chhattisgarh’s potential, successes, and future direction. The conclave served as a valuable platform to discuss governance, empowerment, and innovation, effectively showcasing Chhattisgarh’s vision nationally. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and Agriculture Minister Dr. Ramvichar Netam were also in attendance.
