Raipur, July 12, 2025// Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai honored talented students from various disciplines and schools that performed excellently at the PSY Excellence Award ceremony held today at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur, the capital.
The Chief Minister, while congratulating and wishing all the honored teachers, students and institutions, said that education is not just a means of obtaining a degree, but a path to social and national service. Life is incomplete without education, and this is the foundation of the progress of any nation. He said that education is the basic foundation for success in any field.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh has now entered its silver jubilee year and in the past years, the state has made unprecedented progress in the field of education. Where earlier there was only one medical college in the state, today more than 15 medical colleges are running there. Along with this, prestigious national institutions like IIT, NIT, IIM and AIIMS are also working in the state. Schools have been opened in every village, and colleges have been established according to the needs of the children.
He said that in our time there was only one school for the children of many villages. I remember that I gave the board exam of fifth class in another village because there was no examination center in our village. Today there are immense opportunities for students in Chhattisgarh and every child should move towards their goals by taking advantage of these opportunities.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is continuously moving towards the goal of ‘Developed India’, and with this resolution, we are also working at a fast pace towards a developed Chhattisgarh. He said that in the last 11 years, the country has received global recognition and India is once again moving towards becoming a Vishwaguru.
Shri Sai said that the state government is constantly striving to effectively implement the New Education Policy at the ground level. He said that under the New Education Policy implemented in the country in the year 2020, education in Chhattisgarh is now also available in local languages. In areas like Bastar, studies are now being conducted in local languages, and medical education in the state is also being given in Hindi.
Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, while congratulating the talented students honored by the institution, said that these children will have an important role in the resolution to make India a developed nation by the year 2047. He said that the contribution of our youth will prove decisive in making India a Vishwaguru again.
MLA Shri Dharamlal Kaushik, while addressing the ceremony, said that the aim of the organization is not only to honor talented students, but also to provide a platform to the talents working in various fields. He said that solid work has started under the New Education Policy to make students proficient in various languages. He also appreciated the positive changes happening in the field of education in Chhattisgarh.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai also honored artists who performed excellently in various disciplines. During this, senior painter Shri Raj Saini presented a painting of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai as a special gift.
Dr. S.K. Mishra, President of PSY, Advisor Shri Mahendra Gupta, CEO Smt. Shubhra Shukla, along with many intellectuals, educationists, dignitaries, and school students were present in the program.
