Ajit Doval, the National Security Advisor, revealed details of ‘Operation Sindoor’, where India targeted nine terrorist bases in Pakistan with precision strikes. He highlighted the use of indigenous technology and the swiftness of the operation. The military action was a response to the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians. Doval dismissed Pakistan’s claims of retaliation, challenging them to provide any evidence of damage to India. He also criticized the foreign media for biased reporting. Doval pointed out that satellite images showed the condition of 13 Pakistani airbases before and after May 10, suggesting India’s capability to inflict damage. ‘Operation Sindoor’ resulted in the destruction of terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK, and the deaths of more than 100 terrorists. After the strikes, there were counter-attacks between the two countries for several days before a ceasefire was reached.
