In a bid to bolster green public transport and improve connectivity, Noida is planning to launch 500 electric buses across strategic routes. The project, estimated to cost Rs 675 crore, is expected to be finalized in approximately 250 days. Two private companies have been chosen after a tendering process to operate the electric bus service, which will cover 25 routes. These routes will include vital inner-city corridors and links to the Noida International Airport (Jewar). The proposed routes include Shashi Chowk to Ace City, Kasna Village to Sharda University, Tigri Gol Chakkar to Rajnigandha Chowk, Ek Murti Chowk to Gautam Buddha University, Botanical Garden to Sampurnam, and Dadri to Gautam Buddha University via Kasna. The annual operating costs are projected at around Rs 370 crore, with anticipated revenue of Rs 145 crore from rent and advertising. Furthermore, a new 30 km expressway is approved, connecting Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, and Jewar International Airport, which is designed to reduce travel time and ease traffic flow. This expressway, approved by the Central Government, will run parallel to the existing Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, along the Yamuna river.
