Following inspections and reports, both the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) and Delhi’s Chief Minister announced minimal waterlogging in the capital. NDMC Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal, after inspecting drainage operations on Africa Avenue road, stated that there were virtually no waterlogging complaints in NDMC-managed areas. He credited the success to a team effort and reiterated the corporation’s commitment to a waterlogging-free Delhi. The rainwater harvesting system in Bharti Nagar, previously affected by flooding, was also highlighted as a key factor in controlling water accumulation. Pumps have been installed to manage water levels in low-lying regions. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized that there was no waterlogging in Delhi despite the recent heavy rains, pointing to the improved situation at Minto Bridge as evidence of progress.
