A devastating incident involving an Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar Trainer aircraft has occurred near Churu, Rajasthan. The aircraft crashed during a routine training mission, resulting in the death of both pilots. The accident took place near Banoda village on Wednesday afternoon. The IAF reported that there was no damage to any civil property as a result of the crash. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
This recent event follows a similar pattern of incidents. In April, a Jaguar aircraft crashed after takeoff from the Jamnagar Airbase due to a technical issue. The pilots successfully avoided populated areas before ejecting. One of the pilots, Siddharth Yadav, died from injuries. Another incident happened in March 2025, when a fighter jet crashed during a routine training mission in the Panchkula district of Haryana. The pilot safely ejected.
