As the Shravani Mela 2025 approaches, tent cities are ready to welcome Kanwarias, offering amenities designed to provide a comfortable, home-like experience. These facilities are set up with special attention to the needs of devotees, particularly those arriving by vehicle along the Deoghar-Sultanganj route. Modern amenities are available in the tent cities constructed at Kothia and Baghmara.
The tent cities provide comforts similar to those found at home, including beds for rest, bathing facilities, restrooms, medical assistance, information centers, and lighting to cover essential needs. The Kothia stand tent city is equipped to accommodate one thousand devotees with beds and fans. Furthermore, 44 restrooms and bathing areas are conveniently located near the Kothia tent city.
Baghmara tent city also provides restroom and bathing facilities. It includes beds and other amenities for one thousand devotees, and the entire area is well-lit. Both Baghmara and Kothia tent cities offer medical camps and information centers. Additionally, parking facilities for vehicles are available near the Kothia tent city.
Security measures are in place, with police forces deployed and information centers established near the Kothia and Baghmara tent cities. Dedicated police camps and information centers are ready. Regular police patrols will be conducted to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims.
Traffic management is also meticulously planned. Arrangements are being finalized to direct vehicles from the Kothia and Paritran bus stands towards Hansdiha via the Rikhiya and Mohanpur routes. Detailed route information will be given to the devotees. CCTV cameras and AI systems will be deployed to enhance crowd safety during the mela. Around 150 CCTV cameras will be installed along the Kanwaria Path.
In addition to the Kothia and Baghmara tent cities, the tourism department is setting up information centers at about half a dozen locations along the Kanwaria Path. These centers will provide information on religious and tourist sites in Deoghar and throughout Jharkhand. Devotees can also find seating arrangements.
Visitors from various states to Deoghar will receive information about religious and tourist attractions such as Basukinath, Mata Bhadrakali, Netarhat, Rajrappa Maa Chinnamasta Temple, and the Devdi Temple, among others. The tourism information center will present images and digital videos of all religious and tourist sites in Jharkhand. Staff will provide information regarding accessibility and transportation. These information centers are being prepared by the tourism department.
