The Vande Bharat Express, traveling from Gorakhpur to Patliputra, was targeted by stone-pelters, with the entire event captured on CCTV. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is actively working to identify and arrest those responsible for the vandalism. The attack resulted in a broken window in one of the train’s coaches. This incident marks another case of stone-pelting on Vande Bharat trains, mirroring similar occurrences on various other routes.
The incident occurred on Monday morning near the Motipur outer signal. Unknown individuals were involved in the stone-pelting incident, which damaged the window in front of seats 70 to 75 in coach C-5. Passengers reported the incident immediately to the TC and RPF.
The CCTV footage, reviewed by RPF Inspector Bharat Prasad, reveals two individuals throwing stones at the train. The footage also shows a nearby school and its damaged boundary wall. The RPF Inspector has stated their commitment to the swift arrest of the perpetrators.
In the wake of the attack, security has been bolstered on the Vande Bharat train. The RPF teams from Patliputra, Muzaffarpur, and Gorakhpur are overseeing the security to ensure the safety of the passengers.
