Chief Minister holds high-level review meeting of the Finance Department: Instructions given to ensure efficiency and transparency in financial management
Raipur, July 2, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today thoroughly reviewed the state’s economic situation and financial management at Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur. On this occasion, Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary along with senior officials of the department were present. The meeting saw extensive discussions on important topics like budget management, revenue collection, expenditure control, financial discipline, and e-governance.
Chief Minister Shri Sai obtained detailed information from the officials regarding the state’s GSDP, capital expenditure, and financial progress of schemes. He said that the state government’s priority is to utilize financial resources with transparency and efficiency so that public welfare schemes can be implemented smoothly. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the progress of the state depends on its financial stability. The stronger the financial system, the faster we will be able to move forward in the direction of development. He said that the government has encouraged economic activities, due to which a significant increase has been recorded in the state’s GSDP.
In the meeting, Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary shared information on the department’s current financial situation, revenue receipts, expenditure control, and upcoming strategies. He informed that financial resources are being provided to the schemes in a timely manner in accordance with the priorities of the government and the department is continuously working towards financial transparency and good governance.
Appreciating the working of the Finance Department, the Chief Minister said that the innovations adopted by the department in the last one and a half years have further strengthened the state’s economic foundation. He said that the government’s objective is that the benefit of every public welfare scheme of the government reaches the last person and the state touches new heights of development with financial good governance.
Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Mukesh Kumar Bansal and Shri Rahul Bhagat, along with other senior officials, were present in the meeting.
