Carens Clavis EV Teaser Unveils Range and Interior Design Elements

The upcoming Kia Carens EV is poised to enter the market, with the teaser suggesting it will be a pioneering MPV EV. The anticipated range is around 490 kilometers, based on early indications. The official unveiling of the new EV MPV is imminent. Despite the brand’s efforts to keep powertrain details confidential, leaks provide clues about the vehicle’s specifications. The Kia Clavis EV is set to be revealed on July 5, offering a combination of practicality and advanced technology. Teaser images and videos highlight the MPV-SUV crossover’s design. The vehicle is expected to prioritize safety with a Level 2 ADAS suite and approximately 20 autonomous features. Standard safety features will include six airbags, ESC, Hill start assist, Down Hill Brake control, and all-wheel disc brakes. Interior design elements revealed include premium cream leatherette, a floating dash design, and a distinctive headrest design. The vehicle could share a powertrain with the Creta EV, with battery options including a 42 kWh and a 51.4 kWh pack. The top-tier variant could generate about 171 PS. Fast charging capabilities would permit a 10-80% charge in around an hour with a 50 kW DC charger. The Carens Clavis may have an enhanced battery to achieve its estimated range of 490 km compared to the Creta EV.
