Raipur, June 28, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated the Sampark Smart School and Smart Block program at Bagia High School of Kansabel block of Jashpur district. On this occasion, Sampark Smart kits and TVs were also distributed to the children of 50 primary schools of Jashpur. The Chief Minister recalled his childhood while sitting among the children. While getting emotional, he said that 50 years ago, this school of his was made of khaprail, today it has been transformed.
District Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, Kansabel Janpad Panchayat President Smt. Sushila Sai were present on this occasion.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Sampark Smart School has been started under the innovation in village Bagia.
Chief Minister Shri Sai, while remembering the days of his childhood in his address, expressed happiness that the Sampark Smart School has been started under innovation in his home village Bagia. He told that he received his primary education from first to fifth class in Bagia Primary School. The Chief Minister said that 50 years ago, Bagia School used to be of khaprail, in which water used to drip during the rainy season and due to the dripping of water, the place had to be changed. But today, after 50 years, the entire Bagia School has been transformed and at present, a high school is being run here.
He said that in the olden days, one had to travel a long distance to study high school after primary school, but at present, engineering colleges, medical colleges and national level education facilities are available to provide quality education to children in Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that education is the only mantra by which the overall development of a person is possible. Teachers are the builders of our nation, who play an important role in making us a good doctor, engineer, lawyer, scientist and professor. He said that the founder president of Sampark Foundation, Shri Vineet Nayar, has been the CEO of HCL Technologies. He started the Sampark program by taking inspiration from his mother, who was a teacher in a government school. This program is making valuable contribution in the learning-teaching of children in states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Sampark Foundation is providing Sampark TV devices and mathematics and English kits to make education easy in a playful manner, which are being distributed in 50 schools of our district today. Chief Minister Shri Sai, I am fully hopeful that these kits will be used extensively in the schools. This will not only remove the hesitation of the children but also make the learning-teaching process easier. Therefore, all the head readers should understand the method of using these resources well and give opportunities to the children to move forward.
It is noteworthy that like the previous years, this year also, 15 students of Jashpur district have secured a place in the top 10 merit list in the 10th and 12th board examinations and increased the pride of the district in the entire state. 94 percent of class 10th and 94 percent of class 12th students have passed, making Jashpur the district with the highest pass percentage in the state. Along with higher education, the district has also performed excellently at the primary level. The district has made a special mark at the state level by recording 99.5 percent results in class 5th and 97.3 percent in class 8th. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the department is conducting orientation programs for all the head readers and principals at the district level for the smooth conduct of academic activities in the district. To promote scientific thinking, various programs are being organized in tie-up with ISRO, IIT and other prestigious institutions. The attendance of teachers and students is being recorded through the app every day. Continuous monitoring of the diary is being done and the rationalization work has been completed for the improvement of the academic system in all the schools of the district. In this sequence, FLN kits are being distributed through Sampark Foundation for foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) of the students of 50 primary schools of the district, which will prove to be a milestone in improving the educational quality of the district.
