Chhattisgarh is witnessing a resurgence of monsoon activity. Raipur received heavy rainfall overnight and into the morning hours. The overcast skies have brought relief from the heat, but also caused waterlogging in various parts of the city.
The meteorological department has forecasted light to moderate rainfall across Chhattisgarh for the next five days. Surajpur and Balrampur-Ramanujganj are under a yellow alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms. The other 31 districts are under a lightning alert.
Rainfall data from Friday shows that over 69 locations in more than 24 districts experienced precipitation, with an average of 25.51 mm of rain. Durg recorded the highest temperature at 31.2 degrees Celsius, while Pendra registered the lowest minimum temperature at 22.2 degrees Celsius. The authorities are advising residents to stay alert as the monsoon continues its dynamic behavior.
