KTM is preparing to enhance the 390 Adventure X with electronic rider assistance systems, similar to those in the premium version of the 390 Adventure. Bookings for the current 390 Adventure X have been halted by dealerships, with the updated model expected to hit showrooms shortly.
The updated 390 Adventure X will be equipped with the same electronic features as the top-spec model. This means the inclusion of cornering ABS and traction control, enabled by an IMU, along with three riding modes: Rain, Street, and Off-road. These modes will adjust throttle response, power delivery, and the level of ABS and TC intervention.
Cruise control will be added, providing an advantageous feature for riders undertaking extended journeys. The upgrade means that all new KTM 390 models will now feature cruise control as a standard feature. The motorcycle’s mechanical components will remain consistent, including the non-adjustable long-travel suspension and the 19/17-inch cast alloy wheels. The 373cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine will maintain its existing performance, delivering 46 HP and 39 NM.
The existing price of the KTM 390 Adventure X is Rs 2.91 lakh, offered in orange and white. The anticipated price increase, likely to be between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000, reflects the added hardware and software. The refreshed KTM 390 Adventure X will be a more complete offering.
