Following the verdicts of the Iranian Supreme Court, Iran executed three men accused of spying for Israel. The executions took place in Urmia. The accused were Idris Aali, Azad Shojaei, and Rasoul Ahmad. The charges involved aiding Israel’s Mossad agency and smuggling explosives. The accused were charged with ‘corruption on earth’ and ‘waging war against God.’ State-owned Press TV reports state that the individuals contacted a Mossad agent in a neighboring country and smuggled devices needed for the assassination of Iranian dignitaries into the country. In the wake of these events, Iran also reported the arrest of around 700 people across the country due to alleged links with Israel amid ongoing aggression. The Iranian authorities have also dismantled several underground drone facilities. This comes after a truce between Iran and Israel, which was followed by claims of both sides breaking the agreement.
