The weather department predicts light to moderate rain in western Uttar Pradesh, western Rajasthan, Vidarbha, and Marathwada over the next 24 hours. Northern Punjab, northern Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, eastern Gujarat, Kerala, Northeast India, Sikkim, and the northern reaches of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands can anticipate light to moderate showers. Some areas may experience heavy downpours. The western Himalayan region, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, is likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall. Konkan and Goa, along with coastal Karnataka, also face the prospect of moderate to heavy rainfall.

Light to moderate rainfall is expected in Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh within the next 24 hours. Jharkhand, including Ranchi, Dhanbad, and Jamtara, along with Bardhaman and Hooghly in West Bengal, could see light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning.
