The director’s name is still unknown, but speculation points towards Vikramaditya Motwane. Ganguly, who captained India from 1992 to 2008 and scored over 18,000 runs in Tests and ODIs, has given his approval to the casting. Rao is currently engaged in another project, a dark comedy directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, before focusing on the biopic.
