In Gumla district, Jharkhand, a man murdered his wife’s lover with an axe, fueled by the discovery of their affair. The husband, Kunwar Nayak, and his wife fled the scene after the crime. The victim, identified as Bittu Nayak, was allegedly involved in an illicit relationship with Kunwar Nayak’s wife. The Palakot police station is investigating the case.
Police took custody of the body and sent it for a post-mortem. They are actively searching for Kunwar Nayak and his wife. Reports indicate that the affair between Bittu Nayak and Kunwar Nayak’s wife started in their village, Tegaria, within the Palakot police station area.
Kunwar Nayak had previously warned Bittu Nayak to stay away. Despite the warnings, Bittu Nayak continued the relationship, even visiting her in the absence of her husband. Their affair became public knowledge in the village. Eventually, Kunwar Nayak caught them together, leading to a violent confrontation. Enraged, he used an axe to kill Bittu Nayak and then fled with his wife.
A similar incident occurred in Khunti where a woman, Chandu Soy, murdered her husband after finding another woman in their home.
