**Synopsis:**
The narrative centers on Laura, a childcare worker whose life is shattered by the sudden death of her daughter. Her grief transforms into an obsession, driving her to invite orphans into her secluded countryside home. Among the children are teenage twins, Andy and Piper, and a withdrawn girl.
Laura initially seems caring, but the children soon notice strange occurrences within the house. Whispers, creaking doors, and Laura’s erratic behavior, especially after dark, create an unsettling atmosphere.
The twins discover a hidden room where they witness a disturbing ritual. Laura is found chanting over a shrine containing her dead daughter’s possessions.
Andy and Piper understand that Laura is not simply grieving; she is preparing for a resurrection. The silent orphan girl is part of the ceremony, and Laura believes she needs a greater sacrifice to succeed.
