In Jashpur, Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai led a yoga session on International Yoga Day, encouraging widespread participation. He emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily routines, highlighting its benefits for mental and spiritual balance. The CM advised dedicating some time each day to yoga, stating that it can help cure major illnesses and prevent future health problems. During his address, the Chief Minister also advocated for the use of generic medicines, which he said are equally effective as branded drugs but are more affordable, making them accessible to the poor. A significant number of children also participated in the yoga program, which, he noted, helps in calming the mind and improving focus for studies. The CM also laid the foundation stone for the Nalanda complex, a 500-seater facility with a cost of ₹11.29 crore, which will be built on 2 acres and include a garden, intended to benefit underprivileged children. He also inaugurated development projects worth ₹107 crore.
