Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in a yoga session at Ranjita Stadium in Jashpur district to mark International Yoga Day. The event was attended by prominent figures including Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade and Yoga Commission Chairman Roop Narayan Sinha. CM Sai spoke about the deep-rooted tradition of yoga in India, which has been practiced for centuries. He acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in establishing June 21st as International Yoga Day, thereby giving yoga global recognition. The Chief Minister urged everyone to make yoga a regular part of their lives, dedicating some time each day. He described yoga as a means of connection and integration with life. He pointed out the widespread adoption of yoga worldwide. Sharing his personal experience, he mentioned practicing yoga, including Kapalbhati, for 25-30 minutes daily, which has helped him in weight reduction. He underlined the necessity of yoga for maintaining health and preventing diseases. The International Yoga Day event saw significant participation. A 10-year-old deaf and mute girl, Varsha Mishra, showcased yoga on stage, and CM Sai presented her with a commemorative gift.
