Good news for the people of Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh! Another Vande Bharat Express has been launched, connecting major cities in the region. The train will travel from Patliputra railway station in Patna to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. This marks the 71st Vande Bharat train in India, contributing to the goal of operating 75 such trains. The train will initially run at 110 kmph, with potential for increased speed in the future. Public travel will be available starting June 22nd.
The route includes stops at Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Bapudham, Motihari, Sagauli, Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, and Kaptanganj. The fare for the AC chair car from Patliputra to Gorakhpur is Rs 925, and the executive class fare is Rs 1820. The train will operate six days a week, with the journey from Gorakhpur starting at 5:40 am and arriving at Patliputra at 12:45 pm. The return journey starts from Patliputra at 3:30 pm and concludes at Gorakhpur at 11:30 pm.
