The popular Netflix series ‘The Sandman’ is returning for its second and final season, sparking both excitement and sadness among fans. The trailer for the highly anticipated finale has now been revealed.
The series follows Morpheus, also known as Dream, one of the seven Endless who personifies dreams. Captured in a ritual in 1916, he was held captive for over a century before finally escaping and embarking on a quest to restore order to his realm, the Dreaming.
The cast includes Tom Sturridge in the central role, supported by Gwendoline Christie, Boyd Holbrook, and many other talented actors. The new season welcomes Ruairi O’Connor, Freddie Fox, and others.
Showrunner Allan Heinberg explained that the series was always planned around Dream’s story. With the available comic material, they knew the story could only be concluded in one more season. The team is extremely grateful to Netflix for supporting the creation of a loyal adaptation for fans of the comics.
The release of ‘The Sandman’ Season 2 will be divided into two parts, with the first part set to premiere on Netflix on July 3, 2025, and the second part on July 24.
