The Women’s ODI World Cup, starting September 30th, will kick off with India playing Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. The key match between India and Pakistan will be held on October 5th in Colombo at the R. Premadasa Stadium, due to ongoing political issues. India is also slated to play Bangladesh in Bengaluru on October 26th. Australia, the defending champions, will begin their campaign against New Zealand on October 1st in Indore. They will also face Pakistan in Colombo on October 8th and England in Indore on October 22nd. Pakistan’s matches, under the hybrid hosting arrangement, are all slated for Colombo. Their schedule features games against Bangladesh, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. England will play against South Africa in Bengaluru, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand. Bangladesh will compete against Pakistan, with the remaining matches in Visakhapatnam, and a match against Sri Lanka in Colombo. South Africa will have key matches against New Zealand and Australia in Indore. The decision to play Pakistan’s matches at neutral venues stems from India’s refusal to play in Pakistan, following a precedent set during the 2025 Champions Trophy. The tournament will include 28 league matches and three knockout games across several cities. The first semi-final is scheduled for Guwahati, but might be moved to Colombo if Pakistan qualifies. The second semi-final will take place in Bengaluru, with the final venue to be determined between Bengaluru and Colombo.
