Recent leaks regarding the Nothing Phone 3 indicate a potential shift in the processor, with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 possibly replacing the previously rumored Snapdragon 8 Elite. The launch is anticipated on July 1st. The 8s Gen 4’s CPU includes a Cortex-X4 core running at 3.2 GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3 GHz, two at 2.8 GHz, and two at 2 GHz. While this setup promises better performance than the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, it might fall short of the Snapdragon 8 Elite due to the absence of Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU cores. The new processor also boasts an Adreno GPU with an updated sliced architecture, and an improved NPU. Furthermore, Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi, and XPAN features could provide enhanced audio capabilities. However, if the 8s Gen 4 is chosen, features such as 8K video recording, 4K/120FPS slow-motion, and mmWave 5G are likely to be excluded. The specifications remain unverified.
