Bajaj has launched a new, more affordable variant of its Chetak EV scooter, the 3001, priced at Rs 99,000. This new model supersedes the Chetak 2903 and adopts the latest chassis platform introduced last year. The Bajaj Chetak 3001 presents a compelling option for riders looking for an economical electric vehicle.
The Chetak 3001 is equipped with a 3 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 127 km on a single charge. It includes a 750W charger that can charge the battery from 0 to 80% in just 3 hours. The scooter benefits from the same advanced chassis as the other premium Bajaj EVs, offering a 35-liter under-seat storage compartment. The scooter comes with a color LCD display. The optional TecPac enhances functionality with features like call and music control, guide-me-home lights, hill hold assist, reverse lights, and auto-flashing tail lights.
With a price tag of Rs 99,990, the Bajaj Chetak 3001 is now the most budget-friendly model in the lineup. The scooter will be available in three color options: Red, Yellow, and Blue. Deliveries are scheduled to begin shortly. The specifications of the Bajaj Chetak 3001 are compared with other popular EV scooters, including the Honda Activa-E, TVS iQube, and Suzuki e-Access, in a comparative table.
