After the launch of the Kia Carens Clavis, Kia is set to update the Seltos with a facelift. Testing of the updated Seltos is underway, with images showing new design elements. The spotted test mules in India reveal new headlights and a revised front fascia. The new Seltos is anticipated to debut early next year.
Exterior highlights suggest design inspiration from the EV9 and Syros. The test vehicle features an extended wheelbase, a concave grill design between the headlights, and updated fog light housings. The rear is expected to feature new design elements, possibly a continuous bar light. Interior updates are also expected, with the dashboard and other interior elements drawing inspiration from higher-end Kia models.
Engine options are expected to remain similar, including a 115Hp 1.5-liter petrol, a 160Hp 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and a 116Hp 1.5-liter diesel. Kia is also considering a hybrid powertrain. The 1.5-liter NA petrol engine could be electrified. The updated Seltos will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Tata Curvv.
