Jeep has introduced the Grand Cherokee Signature Edition, a limited-run variant of its premier SUV, in the Indian market. This edition is positioned as a more feature-rich offering than the standard Grand Cherokee Limited (O), commanding a higher price point that justifies its added premium elements.
Among the notable premium features, the Signature Edition includes motorized side steps, facilitating effortless ingress and egress. Rear occupants are treated to twin 11.6-inch Android-based infotainment touchscreens, equipped with integrated speakers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AUX capabilities. Additionally, the vehicle features integrated front and rear dash cams.
The first-generation Grand Cherokee Signature Edition houses a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine, generating 272 horsepower and a peak torque of 400 Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which channels power to all four wheels through Jeep’s four-wheel-drive system.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee competes in the luxury SUV segment, facing rivals such as the Volvo XC90, Range Rover Velar, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, and BMW X5, some of which offer seating for up to seven occupants.
