In a concerning incident, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav was involved in a car accident in Vaishali, Bihar, on Saturday. A speeding truck rammed into two vehicles of his convoy near Goraul while he was returning to Patna from a political rally in Madhepura. The convoy had halted for a tea break on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway at approximately 12:30 AM. During this time, a truck collided with the parked security vehicles. Although Yadav was a short distance away and unharmed, three of his security officials were injured in the crash. They were promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment. Yadav later visited the injured personnel to inquire about their health. The officials are now in stable condition, but they sustained injuries. The truck driver was arrested, and the truck was seized by the local police. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. The incident has sparked renewed concerns regarding the safety of political figures traveling on Bihar’s roads. RJD members expressed their relief and called for improved road safety measures and stricter traffic rule enforcement. Party officials have emphasized the need for a thorough review of VIP security arrangements, particularly regarding road travel. Tejashwi Yadav has since returned to his normal routine and assured his supporters of his safety.
