Several regions across India are experiencing contrasting weather patterns. The IMD has warned of a prolonged heatwave in several states, with temperatures already exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in many areas. West Rajasthan is bracing for extreme heat from June 10th to 13th. Heatwave conditions are also expected in Jammu-Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, and north Madhya Pradesh. In stark contrast, the northeastern states are battling torrential rains, causing waterlogging in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. The IMD predicts continued heavy rainfall in these areas. Uttarakhand is also under a heavy rain alert until June 15th. The Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, and Odisha are also expected to experience thunderstorms and rainfall during the specified dates.
