A convoy carrying RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav was involved in an accident in Vaishali, Bihar, on Saturday. While en route to Patna from Madhepura, a truck collided with two vehicles in the convoy on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway. The former Deputy Chief Minister was unharmed during the incident, which occurred while the convoy was stopped for a break. The truck hit the security detail’s vehicles while Yadav was a few meters away. Three security personnel sustained injuries and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital. The truck driver was apprehended at the scene, and the local police have begun an investigation. The accident has raised questions regarding the safety of political figures travelling on the roads of Bihar. RJD supporters took to social media to express their relief and call for better road safety and stricter adherence to traffic regulations. Party leaders are also urging a thorough review of VIP security protocols.
