Following observed lapses in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Pendra, the district administration has initiated disciplinary measures. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat faces suspension due to negligence and lack of engagement. Employment assistant Jyoti Kashyap, also from the same panchayat, has been served with a show-cause notice.
Moreover, the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat has been ordered to be transferred with immediate effect.
These actions were taken under the guidance of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaid, who emphasized that any form of negligence in government programs would not be accepted. He cautioned all panchayat staff that stringent measures will be enforced against those found hindering the progress of essential schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The administration’s strong stance has sent ripples through the panchayats, with all remaining panchayats being directed to ensure prompt and transparent execution of these initiatives.
