Following instances of negligence in the execution of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the Pendra development block, the district administration has initiated strict measures. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for his negligence and lack of attention to duty. Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat, has been issued a show-cause notice. Instructions have also been given to transfer the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat immediately. This action was taken on the orders of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaidh, who has made it clear that any form of negligence in government programs will not be accepted. All panchayat employees have been cautioned that strict measures will be enforced against individuals who hinder the progress of critical schemes such as the PM Awas Yojana. This firm stance by the administration has caused concern within the panchayats, and other panchayats have been instructed to ensure timely and transparent implementation of the schemes.
