A bride from Bihar, after marrying, moved to Delhi with her husband, who was employed there. They resided in a rented apartment in Pandav Nagar. Tragically, shortly after her arrival, she was found dead under suspicious circumstances, sparking widespread concern. The deceased’s family has made serious allegations that have prompted police investigation.
The family asserts that the victim’s husband was involved in an extramarital affair, a fact known to the wife who also possessed evidence. The family alleges the husband and his relatives were involved in her murder, leading to an FIR being filed at Delhi’s Mandawali police station.
Mayuri, a resident of Bihar, married Vipul Kumar from Roh, Nawada, on March 6, 2025. Mayuri’s parents and brother allege that Vipul, along with his parents, brother, and Vipul’s girlfriend, Ritika, murdered their daughter. They then allegedly attempted to make the death appear as a suicide by hanging.
Mayuri’s mother, Poonam Singh, shared that her son-in-law, Vipul, was employed in a private company in Delhi. Initially, he was hesitant to bring Mayuri to Delhi. However, he eventually took her on May 20th under pressure from his parents. Poonam said that Mayuri had informed her about Vipul’s alleged affair with Ritika, who worked as an HR professional in Mumbai and was a resident of West Bengal. Mayuri claimed to have proof of the affair.
Mayuri’s brother, Gaurav Kumar, stated that he had last spoken to his sister on June 2nd. However, Vipul later called to say that Mayuri had taken her own life. Gaurav alleges that Vipul removed the body from the noose and placed it on the ground before the police arrived, suggesting a premeditated murder. Delhi Police have registered a case of murder at Mandawali police station. Vipul has been arrested and is in jail, while the in-laws and Ritika remain at large.
The family also claims that Vipul had requested money after the wedding for a flat and a car. The grieving family, who reside in Gol Bagicha Gabda, Gaya, is now seeking justice. Poonam and Gaurav are demanding the prompt arrest and severe punishment of the absconding suspects. The police are investigating the matter, conducting raids to apprehend the individuals involved.
