Bihar’s Agricultural University, Sabour, has achieved an ‘A’ grade from NAAC, a landmark accomplishment for the state. According to Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, this accolade positions Bihar among the leading states in higher education, research, and innovation. This achievement acknowledges the dedication of the university’s stakeholders, including teachers, researchers, and students. The evaluation by the NAAC peer team encompassed all areas, from academics and administration to research and outreach programs. This recognition validates the university’s dedication to advanced education, research, innovation and national construction. The university’s strategic alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the effective implementation of the Bihar agricultural roadmap also played a significant role in this success. The curriculum has been redesigned to emphasize multidisciplinary approaches, skills development, and innovation, featuring elements such as outcome-based education, hands-on learning, and industry-academia partnerships. Students now have access to interdisciplinary courses, research opportunities from the beginning of their studies and credit transfer options, supporting a flexible, student-focused, and comprehensive educational environment. The university’s commitment to quality education, inclusive development, research advancements, and administrative transparency has been crucial to this achievement. The Deputy Chief Minister congratulated the university and encouraged it to strive for further success, aiming to establish Bihar as a leader in knowledge, science, and agricultural innovation.
