A public disagreement between Elon Musk and Donald Trump led to the deletion of a tweet by Musk that mentioned Trump in relation to the Epstein files. The feud began after Musk criticized Trump, who was reportedly displeased with Musk’s stance on his ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’
Musk, who recently resigned from his position as a special government employee at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), posted on X, “Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” This post was later removed. Following the online spat, Musk hinted at a potential truce, responding favorably to a suggestion from Bill Ackman, an American Fund Manager, who proposed that Musk and Trump should reconcile for the benefit of the country.
The discord between Musk and Trump coincided with a critical period for Trump’s proposed legislation. Their public war of words involved sharp criticisms and accusations. The conflict escalated when Musk made claims regarding Trump’s association with Jeffrey Epstein. The feud intensified shortly after Musk’s departure from his government role.
JD Vance, the U.S. Vice President, voiced support for Trump amid the public disagreement. Vance stated on X, “President Trump has done more than any person in my lifetime to earn the trust of the movement he leads. I’m proud to stand beside him.”
