The Surgery Department of RIMS Hospital in Ranchi is set to observe National Surgeon Week from June 9th to June 15th. The week is designed to promote health awareness and celebrate the work of surgeons. Events include health awareness programs, blood donation camps, tree planting, a walkathon, and an academic program. Dr. D.K. Sinha, the head of the Surgery Department at RIMS, addressed the media to detail the week’s events. Senior doctors from Ranchi and Jharkhand, including Prof. V.K. Jain, Dr. N.K. Jha, and Dr. Sheetal Malua, will be in attendance, along with junior doctors. The schedule includes a walkathon and street plays on June 9th, a workshop in collaboration with the radiology department on June 10th, a blood donation camp on June 11th, a ceremony to honor senior doctors on June 12th, tree planting and health check-ups for doctors on June 13th, a quiz competition for postgraduate students on June 14th, and the National Surgeon Day and closing ceremony on June 15th.
