Raipur / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, in a high-level review meeting held at Bijapur district headquarters, directed administrative officers to maintain continuous monitoring and coordination for the effective implementation of public welfare schemes. Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam along with other senior officers were present in the meeting.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reviewed the ground water level and availability of drinking water sources in Bijapur district. The Collector of Bijapur informed that tubewells have been dug as per demand. Chief Minister Shri Sai instructed to work on alternative sources for long-term supply of drinking water.
Chief Minister Shri Sai took detailed information from the officials regarding the quality of education. It was informed in the meeting that innovations like Summer Camp and ‘Bal Shiksha Mitra’ have increased the interest of children in education. Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized on making these efforts more organized and result-oriented.
While discussing the Chief Minister’s Rural Bus Service Scheme for connecting rural areas to the main roads, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Bastar and Surguja divisions will be given priority. In this regard, he directed the Collectors of Bijapur and Dantewada to identify the routes and send proposals.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that proper arrangements should be made for housing, rehabilitation and skill training for the surrendered Naxalites. He directed to organize placement camps for employment opportunities in NMDC and private sectors.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that he will himself participate in the third phase of Good Governance Festival to assess the ground reality. He said that most of the promises of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantee have been fulfilled in the last one and a half years and a decisive battle is being fought against Naxalism in Bastar region.
Chief Minister Shri Sai spoke about connecting the tribal community with works according to their nature for their economic prosperity. He said that Atal Seva Kendra has been launched in many panchayats, due to which villagers will now have access to banking services in their own villages.
At the end of the meeting, the Chief Minister said that administrative and developmental goals can be achieved only by working with a team spirit. He appealed to all the officers to remain committed to the welfare of the public by working with the same spirit. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap along with other public representatives and officers were present in the meeting.
