Raipur, May 14, 2025 / The Government of Chhattisgarh has taken a historic decision to improve the educational quality of government schools in the state. Today, in the cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, approval was given to start the “Chief Minister Education Quality Campaign,” which will give a new direction to the structure and outcomes of education in Chhattisgarh.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that education is a process of life-building. Our government is committed to ensuring that every child in the state receives quality and holistic education, no matter where they live. He described it as the foundation for building the future and said that improving the quality of education is the state’s top priority. Under this campaign, multi-dimensional strategies will be implemented to enhance the quality of education in government schools across the state. The School Education Department will soon issue detailed guidelines, outlining a clear framework for implementation at the school level.
Social audit of schools is a key feature of the Chief Minister Education Quality Campaign. Under this, each school will be graded based on indicators such as educational quality, teaching process, student achievements, basic facilities, and teacher attendance. This will be a new example of transparency and accountability. Regular monitoring will be ensured for schools that are not meeting the expected quality. This task will be carried out not only by the education department but also with the participation of officials from other departments and local representatives, which will strengthen community oversight.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that while weak schools will be identified, model schools will also be selected. Teachers from weak schools will be given educational tours of these model schools so that they can draw inspiration from the best educational practices and systems.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that parent-teacher participation is an important aspect of the Chief Minister Education Quality Campaign. Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM) will not be a formality but a medium for dialogue and participation. This will establish better coordination between teachers and parents, and they will work together on the progress of children.
Under this campaign, special focus will be on improving the quality of classroom teaching. Teachers will be trained to adopt modern teaching methods, the use of technology, and student-centered approaches, making the learning process enjoyable and effective.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also said that this campaign is not just the responsibility of the education department but of the entire society. This step by the Government of Chhattisgarh makes education not only a matter of access but also a matter of quality. The Chief Minister Education Quality Campaign will not only brighten the future of millions of students in the state but will also establish Chhattisgarh as a leading state in the field of education.
