4 Important MOUs for Skill Development
Four important MOUs were signed today by the State’s Skill Development, Technical Education, and Higher Education Department. The main objective of these agreements is to make the youth of the state self-reliant by providing them with employment-oriented skills.
The first MOU was between Technical Education, Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority, and Nandi Foundation. The main objective of this MOU is to enhance the employability of socially and economically disadvantaged youth. This program strives to improve their means of livelihood and economic security by providing them with the necessary skills. Similarly, the second MOU was between the Skill Development Authority and Mahindra & Mahindra, under which short-term training in tractor mechanic courses will be provided in livelihood colleges located in Dantewada, Balrampur, and Kondagaon districts. The training will be conducted by the State Project Livelihood College Society located in Raipur.
The third MOU was between the Higher Education Department and NASSCOM. The objective of this agreement is to develop students studying in colleges into job providers from job seekers by providing them with information on modern technologies. This program is considered a major step towards making the youth industry-ready. Similarly, the fourth agreement was between the Higher Education Department and Nandi Foundation Hyderabad, under this MOU, students of colleges will be prepared as skilled and self-reliant youth by providing them with employment-oriented training.
