Raipur, May 01, 2025/ Chhattisgarh has shown remarkable performance in the CARE Edge State Ranking 2025, improving its ranking by three places in the list of major states in the country. Compared to the year 2023, the state’s overall score has increased by 6.1 points from 34.8 to 40.9. With this, Chhattisgarh has moved from 14th to 11th position in the group of 17 major states of the country. This performance is a testament to the comprehensive improvement in governance, social indicators and economic strength.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has said that this is the result of the united hard work and public service spirit of ‘Team Chhattisgarh’. We have prioritized transparency in governance, speed of service, and citizen participation. In the social sector, our emphasis has been on education, health and poor welfare. In the economic sector, investment and employment are being encouraged. The Chief Minister further said that this report of CARE Edge is a recognition of our work in the form of data. We have adopted a policy of improvement in every field, be it economic empowerment, education or health services. This achievement is the result of everyone’s efforts and public cooperation. The state of Chhattisgarh is now rapidly moving forward in competition on the national stage. In the near future, our state will be included among the leading states of the country.
According to the CARE Edge report, Chhattisgarh has registered a significant increase of 9.9 points on the economic performance parameter. In 2023, the state was at 12th position, while in 2025 it has moved to 7th position. This is the result of the state’s attractive industrial policy, investment promotion and financial management. Chhattisgarh has improved financial management and increased the efficiency of revenue collection. Due to the increase in GST collection and transparency in budget management, the state’s fiscal position has become stronger.
According to the report, Chhattisgarh has made a leap of 14.2 points in the field of governance-administration, the main reasons for this being improvements in public service, law and order and digital governance. At the same time, an increase of 17.8 points in the social sector is proof that the state has made remarkable progress in the fields of literacy, education, health services and income equality.
The state of Chhattisgarh has also registered an increase of approximately 10 points in the economic sector, which is a good sign of the increase in the state’s stable growth rate and the expansion of industrial activities. The report also mentioned that the 2025 methodology was based on an evaluation of 50 indicators, while in 2023 the number was 46. Between 2023 and 2025, Chhattisgarh has made significant improvements in the governance, social and economic sectors.
