Gariaband: After receiving 6 new Kerona-positive patients in Devbhog development block of Gariaband district on Tuesday, Chauhadi of the concerned area has been declared a container zone by Collector and District Magistrate Shri Chhatar Singh Dehre. According to the information received from the Chief Medical and Health Officer, two in Devbhog’s ward number 18, two in village Barhi, one in village Motrapara and one in village Diwanmuda have been confirmed to receive corona positive. After confirmation, in the order issued by the Collector, all shops and other commercial establishments under the identified area of the Containment Zone will remain closed till the next order. The supply of essential goods will be ensured at reasonable rates through the home access service by the officer-in-charge. Traffic of all types of vehicles will be completely banned. For any reason other than medical emergency, the exit of the house will be prohibited.
According to the order issued, after confirming that the new positive corona patient has been identified, the identified Chauhaddi (all directions) of the concerned area has been declared as the Containment Zone. The 3 km radius has been declared as a buffer zone. According to the order, police patrolling will be ensured for arranging according to the standards of the health department in the said area. Necessary surveillance, contact, tracing and sample examination will be taken as per the direction of Health Department. Also, the officers have been entrusted with the responsibility for taking action in the zone. Executive Engineer Public Works Department for barricading for only one entry and exit The Chief Executive Officer of the district has been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring sanitary arrangements of the area including entry and exit and availability of essential commodities. The Chief Medical and Health Officer Gariaband has been entrusted with the responsibility for contact tracing. Section medical officer to health team medicine, masks, The responsibility of providing PPE pests etc. and the supervisor of Biomedical Waste Management and Women and Child Development Department, Devbhog has been entrusted to the Active Surveillance and Development Education Officer of the houses in the control room set up at the block level. The subdivisional officer of the police department has been entrusted with the responsibility of getting shops closed and traffic restricted. Supervision Officer has been appointed to supervise and coordinate the said zone. Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Devbhog, Shri Ashish Anupam Toppo will be in full charge of the area concerned. All the above officers and employees will coordinate among themselves and discharge all the responsibilities. If required, they will be authorized to levy duty of other local staff for the above mentioned works.
11 more new positives have been found in the state at around 4:30 pm this evening. Earlier, 5 new positives were identified from Raipur. In this way, 16 new positives have emerged in the state till 4:30 pm today. At present, the patients who are exposed are being told from different districts. Confirming this, the State Health Department said that the health team is reaching out to all the patients and is preparing to get them admitted to nearby hospitals. Those coming in contact with new patients are also being identified.
