A minimum of six folks have been killed and several other injured on Saturday when a fireplace broke out following an explosion at an oxygen plant in southeastern Bangladesh, officers stated.
The loss of life toll may rise as a rescue operation was ongoing on the plant at Sitakunda, 40 km (25 miles) from the southeastern port metropolis of Chittagong, they added.
It was not instantly clear what brought on the explosion, a fireplace service official stated.
“Six our bodies have been recovered from the location,” native authorities official Shahadat Hossain informed Reuters, including a rescue operation was persevering with.
