24,248 New Corona Infection Cases Reported In The Last 24 Hours Across The Country, The Total Figure Is Close To 7 Lakh, Third In The WorldJuly 6, 2020
During the last 24 hours, with 24,248 new corona infection cases reported in India, the total number of patients in the country has reached very close to seven lakhs. India has reached number three worldwide, leaving Russia behind with a total of 6,97,413 confirmed cases of corona virus infection. In the last 24 hours, 425 patients have lost their lives, with the total figure of those who died has reached 19693. There are 2,53,287 active cases out of a total of 6,97,415 positive cases across the country.
More than 20,000 new cases of infection have been reported in the country for the fourth consecutive day. At the same time, in order to control the spread of the virus, states like Assam and Karnataka are strictly enforcing the restrictions along with lockdown at select places.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the total number of cases of Kovid-19 has increased to 6,73,165 with 24,850 new cases of Corona virus infection being reported in a single day in the country on Sunday. In the last 24 hours on Sunday, with the death of 613 more people due to this epidemic, the death toll on Sunday was 19,268.
A two-week lockdown will be implemented in Assam’s Dima Hasao district amid growing cases of corona virus. Dima Hasao is the second district in the state after Kamrup Metropolitan District where full lockdown is being implemented. Kamrup Metropolitan has a complete lockdown from 28 June to 12 July. It mainly consists of the city of Guwahati. At the same time, in view of the increasing cases of Corona virus infection in Mangaluru city and suburban areas of Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, the entire lockdown implemented on Sunday was fully supported by the people and during this time the roads were listened. If no further notification is issued, the full lockdown will be implemented every Sunday till August 2. Shops and business establishments remained closed this Sunday and vehicles were also missing from the roads.
