Jaipur: The Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department has expressed displeasure over the sanctioning of very few houses in rural houses in comparison to the target in this financial year. Now the department has entrusted the responsibility to the district collectors to approve the remaining 2.71 lakh houses by July 5. The target for the construction of 4 lakh 32 thousand 655 houses in the year 2020-21 was set district-wise in the PM Awas Yojana Rural. After this, only 44 thousand 785 (10.35 percent) approvals could be issued till June 4, the department gave time till 11 June to the districts. At this time also the district was able to issue only the approvals of 87 thousand 909 families. These approvals are much lower than the total target. Apart from the families registered on the remand module from the original priority list, two lakh 71 thousand 668 approvals are still to be issued.
Collectors will have to give the certificate
not included in the original priority list, but the district collectors have the responsibility of benefiting the additional deprived eligible families who are registered on the Housing Plus app, who are eligible for the scheme. Collectors will have to issue a certificate of benefiting 100 percent of the families of the original priority list. Only then proposals for permission will be sent to the Ministry of Rural Development.
Removal of the names of ineligible persons The
ACS Rajeshwar Singh of the department has issued a letter to the district collectors to complete the action to remove the names of ineligible persons from the priority list of the scheme through remand module. After approval from the state level of these names, the cases should be sent according to the prescribed procedure.
