New Delhi: The Supreme Court docket on Wednesday refused to switch felony circumstances towards Samajwadi Celebration chief Azam Khan, pending in a Rampur particular courtroom, outdoors Uttar Pradesh on grounds of alleged “persecution”.
A bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice SA Nazeer and Justice PS Narasimha stated it wanted extra cogent causes for transferring the continued felony circumstances towards Khan.
“I can’t get justice within the state. I’m being persecuted… It’s not a decide… It’s the state. In all places, the scenario would be the similar contained in the state,” senior advocate Kapil Sibal, showing for Khan, stated.
“Once we switch (a case), we want way more cogent causes for the switch. Sorry. We’re providing you with the freedom to strategy the Allahabad Excessive Court docket,” the bench stated.
