Raipur, CGNews: 30 years old son, greedy for a piece of land, killed his father in the morning of Dec 19.
The son named Sooraj (Sun) is now in the dark of Police Custody. The police officer said that though accused Suraj tried to flee but the villagers caught him as his wife and mother cried to see Dukaluram writhing in a pool of blood.

Local police station officer G.C. Pati told media persons that It was a cold-blooded murder as the father had axe injury marks all over the body and he succumbed to his injuries within half an hour,'
The brutal killing incident took place at Muhdabri village under Chhuaikhadan area police station in Rajnandgaon district, some 210 km west of state capital Raipur.

The son Sooraj wanted to sell his ancestral plot had an altercation with his 50-yr-old father Dukaluram on Dec 18. In the early morning of Dec 19, the son, the youngest of three brothers, attacked his father repeatedly with an axe when the victim was sleeping.
The victim revealed in the initial interrogation, to the police that Suraj wanted to sell a small plot though his father was pushing him to look for a job outside the state.
This cold blooded murder shows that even small village is not behind from Mumbai. Yesterday Pravin Mahajan was got life imprisonment for the killing of his elder brother.
