In the meeting future programs of the party including the Mahila Morcha conventions and Bhartiya Yuva Morcha meet are also announced. This shows that BJP election policy will be to attract the women and youth mainly.
The National Council of the BJP on Jan 28, 2008 approved the proposal to reserve 33 per cent of the posts for women from the lowest rung of the organisation to its highest level. Impact of this decision will lead to a two-third increase in the number of women office bearers at the central and state levels. This should be first step towards finishing the gender bias in the politics and “the first leap towards women’s reservation” in the Parliament and the state assemblies.
The BJP State Unit Executive meet would be held on March 9 on which top leaders would review the political scenario and accordingly chalk out stratgyfor the next general assembly elections.
All the members including the National Co-organizational secretary Saudan Singh, Dharmendra Pradhan, Lakhiram, Karuna Shukla, Nand Kumar Sai and State Org Secretary Rm Pratap Singh were present.
